A 20-year-old West Orange man was indicted on four charges after a car crash in 2010 where his 18-year-old passenger, Adreana B. Nelson died.
Nelson was from West Orange. The indictment was announced on Wednesday May 9.
An Essex County Grand Jury has indicted Alberto Nunez on charges of first-degree aggravated manslaughter, second-degree vehicular homicide, second-degree aggravated assault and fourth-degree aggravated assault by automobile for his accident.

Nelson was a rear-seat passenger in Nunez's car and was ejected from the back window, suffering severe head and bodily injuries.
She was taken to the trauma center at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson and died the following Friday, Sept. 24, 2010.

Nunez was not arrested but he is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges May 29, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's office.
The accident occured when Nunez was driving his 1995 Acura Integra on Sept. 18, 2010, at about 12:57 a.m., and crashed into a utility pole on Ridge Road, in Cedar Grove, hospitalizing all three passengers, according to police.
After the accident Nunez and the front-seat passenger, Odane M. Neale, 21, of West Orange, were transported were transported to Mountainside Hospital in Montclair.
