Wilwohl has been a journalist since high school. He's led administrations to the verge of collapse and has pushed the limits of "new media." He worked as a copy editor at The New Jersey Herald and as an editor/writer at New Jersey Local News Service, part of The Star-Ledger Special Section division. While working on his master's degree, he co-founded The Klaxon, an online disaster news blog that began as a thesis. It quickly became a popular hot spot for commentary and analysis on emergencies around the world.

During his undergrad, Wilwohl was editor-in-chief of his college newspaper that, under his leadership, received the award as one of the top 10, tabloid college newspapers in the country. He is the founder of the blog Handheld Journalism and is author of "All the News that Fits in Your Pocket," a book about mobile journalism. He has been a speaker at Columbia Scholastic Press Association, Columbia University, on newspaper design, writing, handheld journalism and "new media."

Wilwohl interned for The Erie Times-News in Erie, Pa., and The Citizen in Pittsburgh. He's been featured on BBC World Service and has a bachelor's degree in art history and journalism from Mercyhurst College and a master's degree in emergency and disaster management from Metropolitan College of New York.

Your Beliefs
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for you to inject your beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that your beliefs are on the record will cause you to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know.

Can Patch publish the names of the firms that are receiving the construction, concession, management contracts -- as well as the beneficial owners of said firms? The firms and the owners should be cross-referenced against the state's list of political donors and PACs.
