FYI: The Township has 45 crossing guard posts and employes 50 crossing guards to cover them; 5 of those to cover absences as necessary.
When people need to be replaced, applicants must be recruited, are then subject to background checks, medical exams and training, so there can be a couple of months lag time when filling vacancies.
Virtually all of these people are senior citizens and, yes, from time to time those available fall below those needed to man all the posts. At that point, patolmen are assigned to fill the gaps. If this were to leave zone cars below estabslushed minimum staffing, a requisite number of officers are held over from the preceding shift.
At present, the Township's crossing guard roster is fully staffed.

Who are you referring to when you say educrat?

Three points: How is the superintendent not a public servant? Still don't get that.
2. Why is it that when a teacher (who is a public servant) gets fired or does something wrong it is all over the media?
3. In the district I am in we would be happy with a raise period. Don't have a contract yet. Just trying to make a living.

Twice failed political candidate and unsuccessful former gym owner john anthony prignano continues to critique the lives and careers of others while having no demonstrable accomplishments of his own.
I appear to be one of his regular obsessions and subject of his incessant attacks.
As with most everything else, he is quite incorrect concerning both my lack of job qualifications for the government positions I held and that my performance was anything less than laudable.
Documents putting the lie to both his contentions can be found through these links:

So long as The Patch persist in allowing defamatory personal attacks to be posted and to remain on this site, those of us who are the subject of them will have little choice than to defend ourselves.
