Gas Curfew Lifted

Gas stations can remain open past 6 a.m.

Effective immediately, the 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. gas station curfew has been lifted. West Orange gas stations will operate at full service and full hours. The stations will still honor the state-imposed odd-even restrictions until they are lifted by the state. Last night the 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. town-wide curfew was lifted. Though there are still have some residents without power, most of the township has been restored and they no longer believe a threat to public safety exists as a result of these power outages. The township will re-evaluate the use of a curfew for maintaining public safety should it be presented with significant power outages again.
