Whole Foods Recalls Salmon Citing Listeria
Supermarket, with store in West Orange, says sample of cold-smoked, sliced Alaskan Sockeye, sold in New Jersey stores, tested positive for bacteria.
Whole Foods Market, with stores throughout northern New Jersey - including supermarkets in West Orange and Montclair, has issued a voluntary recall of some 4-ounce Whole Catch Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon, cold-smoked and sliced, after a sample tested positive for listeria. The lot code for the recalled smoked salmon is 7425A2298B. The UPC code is 0 99482 40880 0. Whole Foods says the recalled items were sold in supermarkets throughout 12 states, including New Jersey. No illnesses have been reported.
