The West Orange Township Senior Citizen Transportation Program is a government-run program that provides West Orange residents aged 60 and older with door-to-door transport services within the local area on a call-in basis. Users of the service must be ambulatory and able to meet the driver at the curb or with the help of already-provided aid. Need is priority-based according to the following order:
- Medical appointments
- Nutrition and shopping trips
- Club meetings and personal visits
- Special arrangements
Requests should be made 3-4 days in advance and users should allow a 15-minute wait window on either end for pick-up and drop-off.
