Students Head Back to School, Essex County Remembers 9/11 This Week

On Monday, West Orange students will return to school for the 2013-14 school year. 

At night, the Open Space Commission is set to meet Monday at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 109 at West Orange Town Hall, 66 Main Street.

On Tuesday, the West Orange Planning Board is set to meet at 7:30 p.m., at West Orange Town Hall, 66 Main St. Check out the attached PDF for agenda.

On Wednesday morning at 8 a.m., Essex County will host “Essex County Remembers,” a solemn ceremony at the Essex County Eagle Rock September 11th Memorial that will mark the 12th anniversary of the tragedies in New York, Washington, DC, and Pennsylvania. 

On Wednesday, a Downtown Alliance meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers in Town Hall, 66 Main St.

The Historic Preservation Commission is also set to meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 109 in Town Hall, 66 Main St.

On Thursday, the Public Relations Commission will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. at West Orange Town Hall, 66 Main Strett, in Conference Room 109.

Also on Thursday, the Special West Orange Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting will take place at 8 p.m., also at West Orange Town Hall, 66 Main St. Agenda attached.
