ABC's "The Middle" features several mentions of Patch in its episode this week.

Patricia Heaton's character learns of her husband's big award dinner in a post on Patch.

Dad doesn't like all the fuss. He shrugs and says it's not important.

"Not important?" Heaton says in reply. "It was on the Patch."

The daughter's eyes widen and she says, "The Orson Patch? The whole world can see that!"

Thanks Patricia Heaton!

We are already seeing headlines on our "Local" patch from the other side of the country!

Egad has Heaton hit the wall! I used to think she was kinda hot in Raymond...now? (shudders)...

I am no longer interested in reading this publication. Nothing local here anymore. I used to like reading it to keep up with the news in my community. Now it is worthless.

Patch has gone so far downhill- no local news anymore. By the way, this was LAST week's episode of "The Middle", at least in the Philadelphia market. You didn't even get the right date for your own cameo.

There should not be a city's name in front of the title. It is not a local news publication. Unless by local they mean the United States. It should just be called The Patch. Less misleading.
