Monday
• The West Orange Township Council will meet for a special workshop to discuss the budget at 5 p.m. in town hall, 66 Main St. The council may also adopt the budget during the meeting.

• The township will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jamaica's independence with a flag-raising ceremony at 6 p.m. in town hall, 66 Main St.
Friday
• The weekly farmers market will be set up from noon to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of town hall, 66 Main St.
