The Weekend: Calling all Parrot Heads!

Entertaining events for a summer weekend.

Jimmy Buffet fans will be heading to Livingston this weekend to see Parrot Beach, a tribute band, play at Memorial Park.

Stroll on over to the Memorial Park Gazebo for an evening in Margaritaville when the Livingston Summer Concert Series presents Parrot Beach, paying tribute to Jimmy Buffet.  Join fellow Parrot Heads for hits such as Cheeseburger in Paradise and Changes in Lattitudes, Changes in Attitudes. Want to perform?  Sing, Dance, recite poetry –- come out and do your thing at Café Zed at .  Sign up by 7 p.m. for stage time.  Every effort will be made to give all a chance to perform.  The open mic will be followed with a concert performance by Ken Galipeau. $8; Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m.; West Orange

The British are coming, the British are coming!  will be the site of the next British Invasion when Millburn presents a tribute to the Beatles, Rolling Stones and more. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, and rock out in the park.  Free; Sunday at 7 p.m.; Millburn

Calling all shoppers!  will host a 2-day summer sidewalk sale with special savings, and specials at your favorite restaurants, too.  Stroll the Village and check out the various stores and businesses displaying their best summer wares. Free; Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Maplewood

No difficult dance moves to learn here!  Just check out the South Mountain Conservancy website Saturday night for the location of this Flash Hike happening Sunday morning. This will be a low to medium difficulty hike of about 4 miles for people 10 to 110.  Free; Sunday at 10 a.m.; South Orange

is hosting an event to keep your identity safe –- bring your old bank statements, checks, income tax returns, credit card statements, etc. for on-site shredding by Shred-it®  Staff members will discuss effective measures that can be used to reduce the risk of fraud and identity theft.  Free; Saturday 9:30-11:30 a.m.; South Orange
