West Orange Grads Lift Bloomfield College Basketball Team to Victory
Steve Henderson and Carlo DeChavez helped the team beat Nyack College with career-high days on Saturday.
West Orange High graduates Steve Henderson and Carlo DeChavez helped the Bloomfield College men’s basketball team win big on Saturday, after each placed career-high statistics during the game.
Bloomfield College beat Nyack College 81-50 and was led by career-high days from both Henderson and DeChavez.
Henderson is a red shirt senior for the men’s basketball team, according to head coach Gerald Holmes. Henderson made an impressive 10 of 12 three-point shots during the day to give him a career high day of 30 points.

Holmes stated the 10 three-point shots Henderson made “tied a CACC and school record.”
DeChavez is a red shirt freshman who had multiple career highs during the game including scoring nine points, seven rebounds and three assists.

The men’s basketball team will take on Dominican College on Tuesday at home.
