WOHS Receives Driving Simulator

The high school received a driving simulator by participating in the U Got Brains Champion Schools Program and dedicated it to Nikhil Badlani, a former student who died in a car accident in 2011.


NBC Reporters Went Undercover at Hazel School to Test School Security

NBC reporters went undercover in various schools throughout New Jersey and New York City to test the security in elementary schools in the wake of the Newtown, Conn. massacre. It was revealed that Hazel Elementary was one of the schools and the reporters stated the school had good security measures in place for its students.


A Bus Driver was Fired after an Altercation with a Student

A bus driver was fired after leaving his bus full of students to chase two students who robbed him and fled the scene during a bus route.



NJSBA Explains Superintendent Search to Public

Members of the New Jersey School Board Assocation held a superintendent search forum to explain the process of hiring a new superintendent to the public and answered questions from the attendees.



BOE Creates Communication Platform for Families

Principal Switch Cancelled after Community Outrage

A proposal that would have switched Hazel Elementary's principal with Edison Central's was cancelled by Interim Superintendent Jim O'Neill after many members of the community showed their disapproval of the potential switch.
