Though the night may be for celebrating, the soon-to-be graduates still have to go to rehearsal starting at 9 a.m.

After the ceremony, students will be bused to Funplex located on Route 10 in East Hanover for an alcohol and drug-free night of celebrating with classmates. Students will be treated to food and access to all games and rides.

"Project Graduation is great. It is a wonderful, safe, fun-filled event where our students can celebrate and spend time with their graduating class prior to going out into the real world," said board of education member Sandra Mordecai. "The PTA works really hard every year with fundraising to ensure that the students have a great event."

Started in the 1980s as a way to prevent hazardous accidents that are sometimes associated with celebration after graduation, the graduating class will remain inside Funplex until early the next morning under the supervision of chaperones and teachers. Project Graduation hopes to offset 80% of the cost of each student.

Summer enrichment classes will begin June 26, with classes from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
