Library Volunteers Honored

The WO Library Board honored library volunteers this month. How you can help by volunteering, too.

The West Orange Public Library Board of Trustees acknowledged the service of a dedicated group of volunteers at their December Board meeting. Each volunteer had provided 20 or more hours of service or had presented a series of public programs in 2012.

Library Director Renée Riczker presented each honoree with a Certificate of Appreciation. Board President, Sheri Prupis acknowledged the important role volunteers play in supporting the Library’s mission. Volunteers lend a helping hand by delivering books to the homebound, re-shelving books, presenting programs, and reading to children as Grandpal (senior citizen) volunteers.

Volunteers are essential to helping the Library provide excellent service to the community. The Library can always use more volunteers. If you are over the age of 16 and are interested in volunteering, stop by the Library’s Circulation Desk to fill out a volunteer application.
