Last night, residents were treated to an informative free program at the West Orange Public Library. Participants learned how to preserve delicious summer fruits and vegetables so they can be enjoyed throughout the year. Two instructors from the Rutgers Master Gardeners presented lots of useful information about safe canning and freezing practices. Both are great ways to store all those fresh foods you buy at the WO Farmer’s Market!
This workshop was the final 2012 summer event for adults at the Library. The Birthday Bash summer programs celebrated the Town’s sesquicentennial. Later this month, the next series of exciting free programs for adults begins. Click on the calendar link at www.wopl.org to see what’s in store.
