Visitors can take a trip to the Thomas Edison National Historical Park in West Orange without paying a fee starting Wednesday thru Sunday as part of the festivities for National Park Week.
Besides the Thomas Edison National Historical Park, more than 300 parks across the country will be waiving their fee.
At the Thomas Edison National Historical Park itself, which features a bevy of Edison artifacts, visitors can watch film clips from Ken Burn's documentary “National Parks: America’s Best Idea" as well as other programs.
Children can also sign up as a junior ranger at the park. Saturday has also been designated as Junior Ranger Day. Kids can take part in special activities such as a special tour of the laboratory complex at either 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. on Junior Ranger Day.
