Dates Scheduled for Flu, Pneumonia Clinics

The clinics will be held at the West Orange Health Center, 10 Gaston Street in September and October.

The West Orange Health Department is holding flu and pneumonia clinics for residents 60 and over and adults 18 and over with a chronic illness are a priority to receive the flu vaccine.

The clinics will be held at the West Orange Health Center, 10 Gaston Street,
on:

  • Sept. 30 through October 4, 2013 from 2 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 2 from 2 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 7 through Oct. 11, 2013 from 2 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 9 from 2 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Adults 18 and older are also eligible for the flu vaccine. Residents 65 years and older must bring their Medicare cards and supplemental medical insurance cards. Residents with traditional Medicare have no cost.

Residents with a Medicare HMO or co-pay will pay a $25 fee. The Health Department will provide a receipt to be submitted to the insurance carrier. All other residents are required to pay a low cost fee of $25 for the flu vaccination and $45 for the pneumonia vaccination.

Nurses are available to make home visits to provide these vaccines to those residents requiring this service.  To schedule a vaccination in your home, please call 973-325-4131.
