Ways to Beat the Heat in West Orange This Week

Temperatures expected to remain in the 90s until Wednesday.

 

As the National Weather Service predicts that temperatures will remain in the 90s this week, West Orange announced it will open a cooling center in town hall, 66 Main St., for today and Wednesday. Residents can to stop by between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. 

But there are more ways to beat the heat this week than stopping by town hall. Here is a list of ways of some cool ways to forget about the temperature. 

Cool treats: What is better than cold, delicious ice cream during the sweltering summer heat. Grab a cone at  or  in town, or one of the plethora of frozen yogurt parlors in the surrounding communities.

Cold nutrition: When you sweat, you lose more than just water. There are no smoothie bars in West Orange, but there are a bunch in nearby Montclair, including Muscle Maker Grill, , and the . Click on the links for their locations.
