7 Candidates File for Township Council

Three council seats up for grabs

The township clerk's office released the names of all seven candidates that made Monday's filling deadline for the upcoming municipal elections.

Candidates are competing for three township council seats in the May election.

Terms for council president Patricia Spango and council members Sal Anderton and Joe Krakoviak will expire this year.

All three incumbents will seek re-election to a four-year term but not without some competition.

Residents Jerry Guarino, Rodolfo Rodriguez, Clare Silvestri and Jake Freivald have also thrown their names in the ring.

Both Guarino and Rodriguez have run for township council before, according to the clerk's office.

Silvestri is also the wife of councilman Krakoviak.
