West Orange Teen Wanted for Armed Robbery

Darius Faison, 19, is considered armed and dangerous, police say.

A West Orange teen has been identified as the person wanted in connection with the early August armed robbery of a township teen, authorities said Thurday.

Darius Faison, 19, is wanted for the armed robbery of a resident on Aug. 6, said Jessica Glicker, a spokeswoman for the township. 

According to Sgt. Robert Hartman, three men pulled up in a car next to the West Orange resident who was walking home on Watchung Avenue near Condit Lane at about 6:30 p.m.

The resident told police, a man in the back seat pulled a black handgun and said, "Give me all that you have," according to a police report.

The resident handed over his wallet and iPhone and the three men sped off in the car, the report said.  He told police he recognized two of he alleged armed robbers.

As the resident walked to the police station that night to report the robbery, someone he knew stopped him and returned his wallet to him with nothing missing, according to the report.

The report stated the resident didn't report the armed robbery until the Aug. 7.

According to Glicker, 21-year-old Cletus Honore Honore was arrested just two days after the robbery for his alleged involvement.

Honore was arrested Aug. 8 and charged with armed robbery and possession of a handgun, among other charges. His bail was set at $100,000 with no 10 percent option. 

Fasion is considered armed and dangerous. Police described him as a 6-foot-1 black man, approximately 165 pounds.

His bail is also set at $100,000 with no 10 percent option.
