Two-Alarm Fire Hits West Orange Bakery

Damage is unknown at West Orange Bake Shop after the two-alarm blaze hit Tuesday evening, authorities say.

A two-alarm fire in the West Orange Bake Shop Tuesday evening spread from the kitchen to the basement, authorities said. 

According to township spokesperson Jessica Glicker, the fire started under the stove in the bakery at 480 Pleasant Valley Way and dropped into the basement at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 

Four engines from West Orange and Orange responded to extinguish the blaze, Glicker said. 

Surrounding fire department provide mutual coverage while township engines were on scene. 

The amount of damage is unknown at this time. Patch was unable to contact Bake Shop for more information.
