String of Graffiti Incidents Hit West Orange

Police report 16 incidents in town over the last week, six of which were at the West Orange High School.

Authorities have reported an unusual amount of similar graffiti incidents over the last week in West Orange.

According to Lt. Robert Williams, there have been 16 incidents in town between Aug. 19 and Sunday, six of which were at the West Orange High School.

The first of the graffiti was found on a portable restroom on the west side of Redwood Elementary School on Aug. 19, Williams said.

According to the reports, the words "MORON," "COBO" and "SKOB CAB BROW" were written on the restroom at the elementary school. 

At the High School, the words "SLOB" and "MORON" were found at three different locations around the school between Wednesday and Sunday, the reports stated.

The additional three incidents at the school, graffiti was found with the words "CLUE?" and "DROP."

Nearby, "SLOB" along with other expletives were found at 650 Pleasant Valley Way Sunday at about 6 p.m., Williams said.

The reports stated, the word "SLOB" was also found Sunday evening at Nicholas and Prospect avenues and at 627 Eagle Rock Avenue. The graffiti "CLUE?", "MOOLAH," and "MORON" was found 627 Eagle Rock Avenue as well. 

Police did not release details of the other incidents. 

West Orange police are still investigating.
