The Washington School teacher, Christopher Yonitch, 36, of Livingston, was arrested Feb. 7 on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to officials at the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.

According to NJ.com, a grand jury "no billed" the case Friday, in a decision to not indict the teacher.

Yonitch was suspended with pay in early February. A certified teacher replaced Yonitch for the remainder of the school year.

Interim superintendent James O'Neill told the publication, Yonitch could be back to teaching by February. He also said the district would conduct its own investigation.

Yonitch and his lawyer could not be reached for comment Monday.

But will he ever get his reputation restored? Will he be able to sue his accusers for damages? Will the complainants be charged with filing a false report or malicious prosecution?

This is good news. I am so glad the actual evidence in this case came out accurately. It is a shame that his reputation has been temporarily damaged but from what I understand this man was a good teacher and cared about his students. Hopefully when he starts teaching again in February he will retain his good teaching skills and learn to trust his students again. This is good news to start 2014 with. Good Luck Mr. Yonitch in your future with the West Orange school district.
