More Than $1,500 in Electronics Taken From Investigator's Car
The Union County investigator's car was parked in town near West Orange High School.
More than $1,500 in electronics were stolen from a Union County Prosecutor's Office car parked near the West Orange High School overnight, authorities said.
According to township spokesperson Jessica Glicker, the burglar forced their way into the car on Porter Road through the passenger door sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
The burglar made off with two laptops, a video converter, which belonged to the Union County Prosecutor's Office, and a digital camera, she said.
Glicker added, the digital camera was owned by the West Orange resident but used it for work.
The prosecutor's office told NJ.com the two computers were password projected and did not contain any evidence or sensitive information. The items were valued at $1,500.
The car was assigned to investigator at the prosecutor's office that lived in West Orange, the article reported.
It is unknown how the burglar entered the car.
