Keogh Sentencing Delayed Again

Former West Orange councilman could face up to five years in jail after admitting to multiple counts of conspiracy and misconduct in Passaic County Superior Court in June 2012.

The sentencing of a former West Orange Democratic councilman, who admitted to to multiple counts of conspiracy and misconduct, was delayed again pending charges against other defendants in the case, the state Attorney General's Office announced this week.

Kevin Keogh, 46, of Roseland, a former top administrator at the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commissioners pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy and official misconduct in a Superior Court in Passaic County on June 21, 2012, the Star Ledger reported.

Keogh admitted to using PVSC workers to make repairs and improvements on his house in Roseland such as putting up Christmas decorations, fixing the pool pump or snow blower and picking up plants and fertilizer.

He was arrested along with three other PVSC managers in 2011.

According to the attorney general's office, there is not date set yet for Keogh's sentencing, where he faces up to five years in jail. His sentencing was originally scheduled for September 2012 but has been delayed multiple times.

Keogh was fired from the company as superintendent of special services, where he made $186,000-a-year.

He was also permanently banned from public employment in New Jersey.

They should take the SOB's pension away too. I hope getting his snowblower fixed for free was worth 5 years of his life and a sweet $186K per year job. Are they taking applications for his replacement? I promise I won't ask the employees to hang up my Christmas lights for me. Unbelievable arrogance!
