Air Marshal Shoots Self in Leg in West Orange

The air marshal suffered a non-life threatening injury and was transported to University Hospital in Newark.

An air marshal shot himself in the leg inside a West Orange office building Sunday morning, according to a report.

The unidentified federal officer suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to nj.com.

Officials didn’t provide details on the accident, according to the report, but they confirmed that no one else had been injured.

The air marshal was transported from the Rooney Circle office building to University Hospital in Newark.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office took over the shooting investigation Sunday afternoon, according to nj.com.
