WO PAL PEE WEE MUSTANGS BEAT PATERSON

THE MUSTANGS WIN BIG 32-8

The Pee Wee Mustangs looked great Sunday, September 22nd, defeating the Paterson Lions 32-8. The Mustangs used the power run game to take over this contest. Makhi Green led the team in rushing with 83 yards on just 2 carries. Both runs went for touchdowns and he also added a 2 point run.  Shakhi Carson ran over a defender at the goal line to finish off his 15 yard TD. Divine Zaire added a TD on a counter play. He also caught a pass from Sean Brown for 17 yards. Adam Ashby finished off the scoring in the second half with a nice 50 yard run. Pharelle Brun added some powerful runs for 41 yards and also was lead blocker for many of the big runs on the day. Sean Brown, Gilberto Robinson, Dorian Rawls, Jared Massay and Zander Lipsey all helped out in the backfield this week. The offensive line was strong again. Chris Parsons, Zander Timothy, Syncere Flanagan, Adrian Charles, Jahsil Ashe, Jayson Raines and Jordan Quiles helped move the ball up and down the field. Other players came into the game and also did a great job blocking. Aidan Healey, JJ Scavalla, Sean Tandy, Colton Lehrer and Miles Morgan all pushed back Paterson as well. The Mustangs put up a total of 257 yards on 23 plays.

The defense did a great job turning the ball over this week. Carson made many tackles and also recovered a fumble. Zander Timothy showed great quickness by sacking the quarterback, forcing the fumble and recovering it all on his own. Scavalla also recovered a fumble on a great kick by Healey. Massay added an interception for the Mustangs. Parsons, Rawls (5 tackles), Ashby (4 tackles) and Quiles also made a lot of great stops on defense this week. Bowen Wright, Gavin Rembert, Larry Verducci, Hunter Bonaparte, Tajir Brown and Syhan Webb helped to add to the strength of the defense as well. The defense may have let up a late touchdown, but still dominated and controlled the game forcing four turnovers.

The Pee Wee Mustangs remain undefeated.
