The West Orange PAL Junior Pee Wee Mustangs started the season off right on Sunday, September 9, 2012, with a big win against Orange. Elijah Brown started the game off with a 65 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Brown then took a toss 55 yards for a touchdown on the Mustangs first play from scrimmage. Brown paced the team team with 4 carries for 81 yards.  Shakhi Carson also scored two TDs on 5 carries for 45 yards. Quarterback Sean Brown confidently ran the offense to a total of 151 yards. The offensive line lead by Jarrett Waiters, Chris Parsons, Zander Timothy, and Jordan Quiles opened big holes all day. Other key contributors were Makhi Green, Adrian Charles, Jonathan Salazar, Syncere Flanigan and Divine Zaire.

The defense was just as impressive, allowing an amazing zero total yards from scrimmage. Jacob Maurice had four tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. Carson had both a forced fumble and a recovery.  Aidan Healy also had a fumble recovery to seal the victory at the end of the game. Pharele Brun and Waiters both added QB sacks. Jared Massay, Dorian Rawls, Zander Lipsey, Gavin Rembert, and Larry Verducci all added big plays to the defense.

The team's head coach is Andrew Mazurek.
