MUSTANGS KEEP WINNING WITH 19-0 SHUT OUT VS. MONTCLAIR

Makhi Green scored three touchdowns in the West Orange PAL Jr. Pee Wee Mustang's exciting win against the Montclair Cobras.

The West Orange Pal Jr. Pee Wee Mustangs moved to 6-0 in the Twin Valley Conference with a big win against the Montclair Cobras this past Sunday. Makhi Green had a huge day rushing for 135 yards on 6 carries. He put on move upon move to score all three touchdowns for the Mustangs. Elijah Brown was equally unstoppable rushing for 71 yards on 5 carries. Shakhi Carson (6-22yds) and Pharele Brun (2-10yds) had tough inside runs and also opened some big holes with lead blocks to help move the Mustangs down the field. The Mustangs also added an extra point when Sean Brown hit Jordan Quiles in the back of the end zone with a nice play action pass. Other key contributors were Jacob Maurice, Syncere Flanigan, Chris Parsons, Zander Timothy, Adrian Charles, Jarrett Waiters, Jayson Raines, Jared Massay, Aidan Healy, Divine Zaire, Miles Morgan, Larry Verducci, Hunter Bonaparte, Gilberto Robinson and Dorian Rawls

The defense once again put up another shut out with an outstanding performance. The Cobras ended up with negative 6 yds on the entire day. Jacob Maurice led with four takcles, a sack and a fumble recovery. Chris Parsons and Makhi Green added 3 tackles each. Jason Raines posted a sack and fumble recovery. Divine Zaire also added a recovery on special teams. Jonathan Salazar came up big in his first defensive start with a forced fumble. Other Mustangs that helped push the Cobras back were Shakhi Carson, Jarrett Waiters, Elijah Brown, Pharele Brun, Jordan Quiles, Jared Massay, Adam Ashby, Zander Lipsey, Gavin Rembert, Bowen Wright, Sean Tandy and Colton Leher.

The success being enjoyed this year can be attributed to the dedicated players and their even more dedicated coaches, Andrew Mazurek, Tommy Brennan, Tommy Brennan Jr., Russ DeSantis, Carmen D'Aiuto, and Derrick Morrison.

The Mustangs have also had huge support from the terrific and talented Mustang Cheerleaders.  Those girls continue to support the team at every turn and really get the crowd excited.

The Mustangs have a bye this coming Sunday, but have a rematch with Montclair on Monday night October 22nd at 6:30 pm at West Orange High School.
