Plenty of Programs This November at WOPL

There’s plenty to look forward to this fall.

International Games Day, a tween craft extravaganza, storytimes and book clubs are just some of the programs on the schedule this November at West Orange Public Library.

Children’s

·         Babies and Books Storytime, 10:30 a.m. on Fridays, Nov. 1, 8, and 15. Stories, songs and rhymes for infants to 24 months.

·         Terrific Toddlers Storytime, 11:30 a.m. on Fridays, Nov. 1, 8, and 15. Puppets, stories, songs and finger plays for ages 2 to 3 ½.

·         Preschool Page Turners Storytime, 3:30 p.m. on Mondays, Nov. 4 and 11. Stories, songs and games for ages 3 ½ to 5.

·         Eager Readers Storytime, 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Nov. 4 and 11. Stories and games for grades K to 3.

·         Creature Comforts, 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4. Children can read to trained therapy dogs.

·         Pajama Storytime, 6:30 p.m. on Mondays, Nov. 4 and 11. Stories, songs and rhymes for infants to four years.

·         Terrific Toddlers Storytime, 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Nov. 5 and 12. Puppets, stories, songs and fingerplays for ages 2 to 3 ½.

·         Preschool Page Turners Storytime, 11:30 a.m on Tuesdays, Nov. 5 and 12. Stories, songs and games for ages 3 ½ to 5.

·         Lego Club, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m on Tuesday, Nov. 5.. Grades K to 5. Drop-in to build with Legos and make new friends.

·         Tween Craft Extravaganza, 4 to 5 p.m on Friday, Nov. 8. Grades 4 to 8. Make something creative and take it home. Registration required.

·         Speaking of Stories Book Discussion Group, 4:30 to 5:15 p.m on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Grades 4 to 5. The group will discuss The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg by W.R. Philbrick. Advance registration required.

·         International Game Day, 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16. All ages. Drop-in to play a board game or Nintendo Wii.

·         Yakety Yak Book Discussion Group, 4:30 to 5:15 p.m on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Grades 2 to 3. The group will discuss The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene. Advance registration required.

 

Teen

·         Anime Club, 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wed, Nov. 6. Manga, comics and anime films for teens grades 6 to 12.

·         Read ‘N Chat Book Discussion Group, 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 13. Grades 6 to 8. The group will discuss Anya’s Ghost by Vera Brosgol. Advance registration required.

·         Teen Game Night, 7 to 8:30 p.m on Nov. 20. Grades 6 to 12. Drop-in to play Nintendo Wii and board games with other teens.
