The Jackals Experience

The Jackals Experience is a blog all about New Jersey Jackals baseball at Yogi Berra Stadium in Little Falls, NJ. Come out for Major League Fun at Minor League prices!!

It was a beautiful day at Yogi Berra Stadium last Thursday night May 31st. Temperature in the high 70s with no clouds in the sky at first pitch.

It was the first Thirsty Thursday of this young Jackals season and fans came out in force for dollar domestic beers.

Rutgers Against Hunger campaign was at the stadium collecting canned goods. The canned goods will be donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. And all fans that brought a canned good received one dollar per canned good off of their ticket purchase.

The Rutgers mascot was throwing out t-shirts with Jack the Jackal and the rest of the Jack Pack during the middle of the 1st inning.

The first sombrero race of the season happened down the 1st base line in the middle of the 6th inning. Two contestants decked out in Mexican robes ran down the 1st base line and spun around two separate sombreros seven times. And then the contestants put on the sombreros and ran to the finish line. It was definitely a funny sight to see.
