JCC MetroWest's Preschoolers Help With Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

These Thanksgiving groceries will be distributed by Jewish Family Service.

The JCC MetroWest got a little help with its annual Thanksgiving food drive from some of its youngest members.

Preschoolers from JCC MetroWest gave this year’s Thanksgiving food drive a new twist by inviting their families to donate non-perishable food. The preschoolers, participating in the Mitzvah Moments program, also worked with teachers to organize a supermarket setting in a classroom.

The children were supplied shopping carts, baskets, and cash registers as they toured their Mitzvah Market, selecting among the kosher options for families in the community who rely on the philanthropy of agencies such as the JCC.
