Poles and Jews during World War II

The Jewish-Christian Studies Graduate Program invites all New Jersey educators and the general public to attend the study day, Poles and Jews during World War II, on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 9:00 am-3:00 pm in the Beck Rooms at Seton Hall University's Walsh Library. Two scholars, the Reverend Dennis McManus and Monika Rice, will offer the presentations, “The Holocaust: Its Destructive Past and Its Dangerous Future” and “Poles and Jews during the War." Application of lessons from this dark period of European history will also include the two workshops, “Jan Karski: A Catholic in the Holocaust” and “How to Approach Jedwabne,” led by the Rev. McManus and Ms. Rice respectively.

All who are interested in attending the study day may access the event’s flyer and schedule for more information at http://bit.ly/StudyDay2014 and must register by contacting the Reverend Lawrence Frizzell at lawrence.frizzell@shu.edu or (973) 761-9751 no later than March 10, 2014. A $10 registration fee, payable on site, includes lunch and materials.  This professional development study day and program, which is an accredited service provider in the State of New Jersey, will offer five professional development credit hours to educators and is sponsored by the Jewish-Christian Studies Graduate Program with financial assistance from Ms. Chris Liu of Palo Alto.
