Delight Your Family with Free Concert "Byts and Pieces"

Bring the kids to hear the New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra (NJIO), whose musicians range in age from 7 to 87, as they present their Annual Family Concert on Sunday, November 18, 2012, 3:00 PM at Summit High School. Guest Conductor Karen Pinoci will lead the Symphony Orchestra featuring 15 year old guest soloist Soyeong Park, and Conductor Gavin Davies will lead the Intermezzo Orchestra in a program of popular favorites.  A fun and interactive “Instrument Petting Zoo” will allow young audience members to try a variety of musical instruments. Admission is free.

This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts and by funds from the National Endowment for the Arts.  Funding has also been provided by Puffin Foundation, the Lillian P. Schenck Trust Fund, the Standish Foundation, the Provident Bank Foundation and Tokio Marine Management, Inc.  The NJIO Young Artist Concerto Competition was made possible by the support of K&S Music, Robert Ames and Main Violin.
