Encaustics Demonstration at JCC MetroWest
JCC MetroWest presents photographs, paintings, and small encaustics in the Gaelen Center for the Arts at the Leon & Toby Cooperman JCC, Ross Family Campus, 760 Northfield Avenue, West Orange. The photography and painting exhibits will be on view through Sunday, October 27. Encaustics ends on Sunday, December 29.
A free special Encaustics Demonstration will take place on Monday, November 4, 7:00pm at the Cooperman JCC’s multimedia art studio. This is to highlight Encaustics, an exhibit of small works by six well known artists who use the traditional medium of hot wax colored by various pigments to create uniquely contemporary images. Two artists featured in the exhibit will conduct the demonstration: Lisa Pressman and Heidi Sussman. The other featured artists are Francesca Azzara, Ellen Hanauer, Mikel Frank and Michael Teters.
