Cali School Holiday Brass at PCUM for Typhoon Haiyan Recovery

Students and faculty of the Brass Department of the John J Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, along with the Presbyterian Church of Upper Montclair (PCUM), will present a holiday concert on Thursday, December 5th at 7:30 pm. The musicians are dedicating this performance to relief efforts to recover from Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Works from the Renaissance to contemporary compositions will be performed. In particular, the Cali School Holiday Brass will perform Rhapsody Noel composed by Joseph Turrin, a member of the MSU faculty and also Music Director at PCUM. The piece was commissioned by the Canadian Brass and the New York Philharmonic Principal Brass.There will be no admission fee; all proceeds raised by free will offerings will go to relief efforts in the Philippines.
