There was only one thing hotter in Livingston than the weather on Wednesday, and that was Piers Morgan sitting down at the counter of the Ritz Diner for a conversation and coffee with Gov. Chris Christie.
Christie was showing Morgan around his hometown. They met up at Livingston High School, where Morgan interviewed the governor for "Piers Morgan Tonight," which will air next Wednesday at 9 p.m.
"Our AP Government class had the opportunity to have an exchange of ideas with the Governor and let me say that our students were impressive with their questions and commentary," said LHS Principal Pam Clause McGoarty.
Christie (Class of 1980) asked for his former class adviser, Don Schwartz, to be present. "They were able to reminisce about Chris’ days as a class officer and baseball catcher," McGoarty said.
Over at the , the governor and the CNN celeb (and “America’s Got Talent” judge) posed for photos with the owners of the diner, Marion Feldman and George Mazzucco.
"My mother and George greeted them as they walked in and Piers told my mother that he heard good things about the diner from Gov. Christie," said David Feldman. "They sat at the counter for about 15 to 20 minutes, talking about New Jersey and things."
No word if they tried the Ritz' famous apple pie.
Many thanks to David Feldman who shares his photos from this HOT Celebrity Sighting.
