Four-Legged Fundraising: NJ Copywriters Support West Orange Animal Welfare League with Annual Event

West Orange, NJ, January 2014 — While many families were celebrating the beautiful October weather with pumpkin picking and hayrides, the content marketing team at Fahoury Ink was working like dogs — for a good cause.

Says company owner Lisa Fahoury, “October is National Adopt a Shelter Pet month. So every year since 2010, we’ve celebrated by donating 10% of our company’s gross billings to the West Orange Animal Welfare League (WOAWL).”

WOAWL is an all-volunteer organization that helps find forever homes for stray and abandoned animals across Essex County. Volunteers work hard to help reduce the number of healthy animals that are needlessly euthanized each year.

Every year, October somehow turns into a banner month for the business, according to Fahoury. “We’ve got an incredible roster of clients who do their best to keep us busy, knowing that the end result is this wonderfully worthy cause.”

This year, the company presented a check in the amount of $3408.74, a 15% increase over 2012.

According to WOAWL President Sandy Rubin, Fahoury Ink’s donation helps her organization get animals “adoption ready” — spaying or neutering, veterinary care, and vaccines. Says Rubin, “Fahoury Ink’s donation makes it so much easier for us to continue with our goal to make a difference and see our furry friends enjoy the lives they deserve.”
