CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR NYC & AMERICAN FINE CRAFT SHOW NYC BOAST 19 NEW JERSEY ARTISTS AND ARTISANS: ARTIST SHOSHANA KERTESZ FROM WEST ORANGE

Contemporary Art Fair NYC and American Fine Craft Show NYC will fill the natural light-saturated Javits Center North with the work of some 185 artisans and artists October 25, 26 and 27, 2013 in its fourth year. Nineteen—six artisans and 13 artists--hail from New Jersey of which one is from West Orange: Shoshana Kertesz.    

      “Exhibitors achieve remarkable effects using innovative techniques in their approach to ceramics, decorative and fine arts as well as jewelry and fashion,” said Richard Rothbard, owner of American Art Marketing, who with his wife, Joanna Rothbard, founded and produces the annual juried fall event.

      “The exhibitors’ work reflects a design theme with texture throughout on soft and hard surfaces, decorative pieces, fashion accessories and fine art,” noted Rothbard. “Sponsored by An American Craftsman Galleries, its timing, a month before Hanukah, is ideal for finding perfect gifts.” The Rothbards also own the Galleries located in Manhattan, Stockbridge, Mass. and Savannah, Ga.

      Joining artisans exhibiting jewelry, fashion and accessories as well as furniture, ceramics, glass, wood, metal and textiles at the Craft Show are painters, photographers, sculptors and artists working in mixed media at the Art Fair.         

      Among various demonstrations pottery will take center stage with an opportunity for kids and adults to try their hand and leave with a finished piece under the guidance of instructors from Mud, Sweat & Tears Potters. “Some visitors will be inspired to adopt a new hobby,” he said.
