Pals Cabin Auctions Off the Whole Lot

Dozens of people filled Pals Cabin Monday to bid on items from West Orange landmark.

The auction had 247 items up for grabs including a ram's skull and horns, vintage photos, kitchen equipment, booths, benches and neon bar signs. Full auction list attached.

Many said they just came to see what the now closed restaurant was selling while other looked to grab a piece of history.

Did you pick up anything at the auction or wanted to buy something? 

"I just wanted something that said Pals Cabin on it," 60-year customer of the restaurant Don Paradaridiso said.

Since Pals closed on June 1, Paradaridiso said he been searching for an apron or anything that represented the 81-year-old place. Recently, he bought a matchbook from Pals on EBay. 

Residents and officials previously told Patch, Pals Cabin has created numerous memories for West Orange and the community. 

"I will miss the great food and the central location that made it so easy to come together with family and friends," Councilman Joe Krakoviak said.
