"We don’t comment on specific theatre performance or revenue ...," Noonan said.

The theater's electrical provider, Public Service Electric & Gas, said in an email to Patch Tuesday evening electrical work had been completed near the theater and power restored.

"Our field personnel said that they opened an electrical panel for the customer at 495 Prospect Avenue [AMC Essex Green]," the spokesperson said in the email, "and that everything was taken care of on our end. We have not received a call from the movie [theater] saying that they are without power. They could possibly have an internal problem."

Calls to AMC Essex Green for comment were not returned.

Anyone who may have bought tickets to the theater through Fandango while the theater was closed can call 1 (866) 857-5191 to get a refund.
