Good Day Today - Saturday Will be Even Better

TODAY: I had the opportunity today to visit Suriano Stadium and see our new football stadium lights working to perfection.  Those of us responsible for the recreational needs of the community and the athletic needs of WOHS have long awaited this improvement.  Being able to play high school football games "under the lights" is the front & center illustration of their worth.  Residents need to keep in mind that these lights will greatly enhance so many other scholastic and youth programs in the community by easing the burden of scheduling.

SATURDAY: WOHS will be where the action is this Saturday.  From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on the baseball field the high school will be holding "Fanfest."  The event is a community pep rally to celebrate all the excellent programs at WOHS.  The carnival style program will feature games and food.  Participating in the event will be many of the clubs and interscholastic sports available to students at WOHS.  I urge families to attend and to stick around as WOHS will face West Essex at 7:00 PM in our first football game "under the new lights."  Both teams are undefeated and ranked in the top ten in Essex County.
