Halloween Happening Friday Night in West Orange

Halloween Happening Friday Night in West Orange

With stormy weather predicted for Halloween next week, West Orange families might want to consider some holiday alternatives.  Mayor Robert D. Parisi invites all our young families to attend the West Orange Rec Department’s annual Halloween event scheduled - rain or shine - for Friday, October 26th.  It will be held at Liberty Middle School beginning at 6:00 PM sharp.  Festivities will kick off in the school auditorium with the Goblin Parade.  Prizes will be awarded for the best costume in various age groups ranging from toddlers thru the fifth grade.  A special adult division is also included.

After the contest the West Orange Rotary Club will be giving each participant a free pumpkin and snacks in their Pumpkin Patch located on the outside grounds of the school.  Materials will be provided if the kids wish to decorate the pumpkins before taking them home.  An additional arts & crafts project will also be offered.  There will be other activities including guessing contests and the very special “water balloon target shoot”.

For more info contact the West Orange Rec Dept at 973-325-4150.
