Bus Passes for 2013-14 School Year

All general education students should have received their bus passes for the 2013-2014 school year, the transportation department announced this week.

Special needs students will have their buses passes by the end of the week of Aug. 19. 

If you are a general education student and have not received your bus pass or if you have any transportation questions contact the district router Marie Intili at 973-669-5400 x 32552.

For Edison Middle School students, who are primarily first time school bus travelers, a special meeting was held in June for parents and students to orient them to yellow bus procedures and protocols.

 “It was a really valuable orientation for families," said the transportation director Pamela Nicholais. “We were able to answer many of the parents questions and the students received their bus passes on site.”

The transportation department encourages all parents to update their school messenger contact information and phone numbers to be readily accessible for contact for bus delays and other important transportation information.

 “If we have your correct mobile or home number in our system as well as your email address I it is really helpful and we can contact you directly if there is ever a transportation issue,” said Nicholais.
