Lecture in Song: George Gershwin

Join us at West Orange Library on Sunday, March 25th at 2pm as Fred Miller presents a Lecture-In-Song on songwriter George Gershwin.  Seated at the keyboard, Fred will perform Gershwin songs and also provide biographical and historical insight into the life and times of this great songwriter of American’s Golden Age.  Fred Miller studied piano with Ralph Berkowitz, former dean of Tanglewood, studied acting with legend Geraldine Page and voice with Tony winner Helen Gallagher.  He has acted in national commercials, broadcast his own radio program on 89.7FM and for 25 years run the Copper Players.

Funding for the Bernard Ducoff Lecture Series in the Arts and Humanities is provided in memory of Dr. Ducoff by the Ducoff family.  Advance registration is recommended.  To register, go to our events calendar at www.wopl.org or call 973-736-0198.
