Where is the Best Place for a Kid's Birthday Party?

Of all the selections around town - where is the place that offers the best package, fun for the kids, good service, and price you can afford?

Let's face it, there are a lot of kids out there in Patch land and there are a lot of birthdays that need to be celebrated.

There are so many wonderful places to celebrate with kids — pizza parlors, bowling alleys, karate and dance studios, craft stores, gymansiums, and dozens of other choices. Parents out there, you've done many of them and with mixed results.

But where was the most fun? Where did your kid have a good time? What is the place you'd recommend to other parents? We want to know.

This week's "Reader's Choice" poll asks the question: Where is the best place locally to have a great kid's birthday party?

You have a week to vote and the results will be tallied at 9 a.m. Friday. The winning business gets its own story, and all of the winners around Essex County will be highighted on our front page on Saturday.

Feel free to vote, comment and make suggestions. If we've forgotten a place, be sure and let us know. We can't wait to hear where you think is the best place to blow out the candles.

We had a birthday party for our son at Turtleback Zoo one year. It was incredibly reasonable! You get a room for a couple of hours to have cake, pizza, etc. (you bring it in) and the cost includes entrance to the Zoo. Parents AND kids had a great time.

I'll second that ! If your looking to have a great party at a very reasonable price, the Turtle Back Zoo is the place.
