West Orange Teen Earns Eagle Scout Badge

Nicholas Storozynski was awarded the BSA's highest rank July 7.

The Boy Scouts of America's highest honor was awarded to a member of West Orange's BSA Troop 2 July 7, the Star-Ledger reported.

Nicholas Storozynski, a West Orange resident who graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire this year, earned his Eagle Scout Award with a community service project benefiting West Orange Fire Station No. 4 on Pleasant Valley Way. The teen weeded, mulched and planted new shrubs, the article said. Additionally, he power washed the sidewalk and a commemorative plaque.

Storozynski plans to enter New York University's freshman class this fall, the article continued.
