Most Forgotten Chapter Of West Orange History: Crystal Lake

This free program open to the public will be on Thursday Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. in the West Orange Public Library. It is entitled Crystal Lake Eagle Rock Park.

It will be a power point presentation lasting about an hour and explore the history of Crystal Lake in West Orange and its close development and relationship with Eagle
Rock.

The program will be full of vintage postcards and photos offering a rarely seen visual narrative to an often overlooked history.

Included in the presentation will be a short 26 second film from 1898 offering a glimpse of Crystal Lake from a bygone era.

Fagan has classified this as perhaps the most forgotten chapter of our West Orange history. This program will offer a unique opportunity to learn about it's complete history as seldom seen or understood.
