McLoone's is Favorite Brunch Spot

West Orange readers say they love to eat there.

With its view overlooking the water, it's spacious and airy interior, and eclectic menu, McLoone's Boathouse Restaurant was the clear winner in the Patch Readers' Choice Mother's Day Brunch poll.

It's Sunday brunch menu features not only the standard waffle station, salads and fruit, but a fresh assortment of seafood, a carving station, international selection of cheeses, and mimosas.

The 18,000-square-foot restaurant overlooking the Orange reservoir is part of the South Mountain Recreation Complex and opened last year.

Another reader favorite was The Essex House Restaurant, also on Northfield Avenue. It's brunch menu has everything from hot Italian delicacies to a dessert buffet.

Now that you've chosen your brunch locations, don't forget to call and make reservations, Mother's Day is next Sunday!

Stay tuned for next week's poll on where you "Staycation".

Have eaten there 3 times, found the noise level so high it's numbing. You have to shout at your eating partner and then be hardly heard. Prices high, salad portions too big and too price-y. Children running loose in dining room no pleasure.

It is a family restaurant isn't it? Sorry they didn't provide the children with cages.
