Local Youth Skating Group to Learn Techniques from Cast of "Disney on Ice"

The Synchroettes Synchronized Skating Club of New Jersey will participate in a special skating workshop with skaters from "Disney On Ice" on Thursday.

To celebrate the arrival of Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic, members of the Synchroettes Synchronized Skating Club of New Jersey will participate in a special skating workshop with skaters from Disney On Ice at the  Prudential Center in Newark on January 16.

Founded in 2001, the Synchroettes Synchronized Skating Teams represent the Essex Skating Club of New Jersey, a not-for-profit organization based out of the Richard J. Codey Arena in West Orange.

These aspiring professionals who range in age from 13 to 16-years-old, will receive professional instruction, on and off the ice, from members of Disney On Ice. As part of this unique workshop, youth skaters will learn and perform moves and choreography performed in Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic, as well as learn what life on the road entails for the Disney On Ice cast.

The Synchroettes mission is to create synchronized skating teams to exhibit and compete at local, sectional, national and international events and competitions. The group pride themselves not only on teaching the skaters synchronized skating, but also in creating a positive, encouraging atmosphere where the skaters can learn life lessons to take with them after they leave the program.
